The Second Interstellar War has been raging for over seven years. The North
American Confederation intelligence arm of the fleet learned that a squadron
of the Novaya Rossiya's formidable Admiral Paravani-class battlecruisers
were en route to interdict the civilian shipping at the colony world Nova
Kanata and destroy the local navy battle station. Given the capabilities
of the NR battlecruisers, the local defense units would stand no chance.
So the NAC high command sent out the only available ships to intercept:
three of the brand new Antares-class battleships. Would they be enough?

Galactic corporate fleets tend to be very powerful but very small. So when the Ming
Association fleet was called away to defend its shipping lanes , the Eurasians used
the opportunity to blockade Agri planet 375. Whether the move was the local district
commander acting alone, or approved by the high ruling committee is unknown. The move
occurred so quickly that the task force brought no ground forces except its own
inherent marines. With such a small force the only territory worth taking was Jerky
production facilities.
The Jerky King (a Subsidiary of the Ming Association) products are in constant demand
across the known galaxy. Profits are only rivaled by illegal drugs and arms sales.
Control of even a portion of this operation can keep multiple planets solvent for decades.
It came then as no surprise when a NSL fleet appeared in system and headed to Agri 375.
This force came with and ground assault transport and there was no doubt that they
were to contest the blockade and take the Jerky facilities. The only real question was;
could whoever remained be able to hold back the Ming Association fleet when it returned?
Eurasians have blockaded the planet. And are in orbit. NSL have jumped in system and
wish to crush the blockade. Eurasians must break orbit and meet the attacking force
and preserve their hold on the system. Both forces hope that the real owners do not
return and disrupt everything.

Humanity is under attack by an alien star fleet and no power has been able to
repel the enemy. Not since the Siege of Sol back in 2194 has the human race
come under such a sustained and implacable attack. The alien ships seem to
launch new attacks every week, and humans are being driven out of systems at
an alarming rate as none of the great powers seem able to win a space battle
against these aliens. Reports of their capabilities are contradictory and
confusing, but Earth's children must find this new foe's Achilles heel soon
or be exterminated.
The human side will field a rag-tag mixed fleet of Fleet Book era designs
from NAC, FSE, NSL, UNSC, etc. while the alien attackers will be custom designed.

Rank incense clouded the darkened room while a withered husk of
a woman in loose fitting robes slowly rocked back and forth.
With sightless eyes she sought the light of the Emperor when a
flood of incoming data overcame her completely. In a moment of
complete rigidity the data was recombined and header encryption
removed. Collapsing to the floor she leaned upon her staff and
gasped air as she bled from her left nostril. Message transfer
only ever lasted a short time but with each passing year it took
her longer to recover.
Head held aloft, looking at nothing in particular, she relayed
the message to an awaiting servo-skull that recorded the content
and then left through dedicated duct work to the Inquisitor's
rooms on the sleek cruiser.
Joints cracked as she stretched. Wiping the blood from her
face she sighed, "Here we go again."
In the Inquisitor's quarters the servo skull clattered a
printout on narrow parchment. The Inquisitor tore the paper
and the servo skull quickly returned from where it came.

Inquisitor Harlow,
The following is a vid-capture transmitted using Inquisition
security protocols, sent (2)167993.M41, received (4)871008.M42.
The agent felt this pertinent enough to bring it to the
attention of the Grand Inquisition on Holy Terra itself.
The Ordo would request that, if possible, you make best speed
to Orphage III and verify the contents of the vid-capture.
The heads of the Ordo would have you confirm their suspicions
and if confirmed it goes without saying that all life on
Orphage III is forfeit.
Contact information will be sent via separate message.
